U.S. SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION DECLARES EFFECTIVENESS OF REGISTRATION STATEMENT COVERING VIASPACE GREEN ENERGY?S INITIAL PUBLIC OFFERING
Irvine, CA- January 5, 2010-VIASPACE Inc. (OTCBB: VSPC), a clean energy company growing Giant KingTM Grass as a low-carbon, renewable energy crop, today announced that on December 31, 2009, the U. S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) declared as effective the Registration Statement on Form S-1 covering the common stock of its majority-owned subsidiary, VIASPACE Green Energy Inc. (VGE). Following such effectiveness, VGE is a separately reporting public company. The registered SEC filing is available on the web at http://www.sec.gov/ under VIASPACE Green Energy.
VIASPACE Green Energy has applied to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) for permission to trade its common shares on the OTC Bulletin Board.
